Sterlings on the Water can accommodate 400 seated guests with rental of our entire venue. We can host events as intimate as 20 or up to 200 by dividing our venue into smaller ballrooms for partial venue rental. The rental fee includes access of the venue (partial or whole), for a specific number of hours (7 hours for weekend events), and the setup of all elements as described above. Rental does not include Food and Beverage. Rental time begins with the setup of your event (outside vendors, décor, etc.) and ends with breakdown until guests and vendors have departed. Extended hours may be accommodated based on availability. Requests for events to run past 11pm are subject to the discretion of the venue and will incur a late night fee.
Saturdays and holidays are considered peak, as rates will reflect. Less peak days are Fridays and Sundays, and non-peak days are Monday-Thursday, where rates are considerably less. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for last minute or short-range events, we are delighted to accommodate, and rates may be lower.
The venue can accommodate up to 200 guests for on-site ceremonies and up to 400 guests for receptions. Choose a beautiful indoor setup or outdoor ceremony by the lake. Ceremony rehearsals are included in our ceremony package, otherwise rental time may be added separately. Rehearsal timing is dependent on venue availability.
For ceremonies or receptions, our professional day-of-event coordinator will assist with your wedding day schedule, coordinate wedding parties, first dances, cake cutting and more; wedding service packages are available. Or you may hire an outside event planner. All weddings require a professional licensed event planner.
To reserve a date, a signed rental contract and deposit is required. Deposits vary depending on type of event, typically $2500 for larger events and weddings, and from $750 for corporate and smaller event bookings. The balance of your event order will be divided into payments. All deposits and payments are non-refundable. Final guest count and balance is due three weeks prior to your event.
We offer full-service catering with a professional waitstaff and our beautiful selection of linens, glassware, chargers, dinnerware & flatware. Our catered option allows you to enjoy your event without the worry of coordinating outside vendors, setting up, serving, and cleaning up after your party. Our range of menus can be viewed here. Should our options not fit cultural needs, a licensed and insured outside caterer is permitted, and use of the plating-only kitchen can be arranged for an additional fee.
Enjoy our fully stocked bar packages with our Open Bar and Cash Bar options. Or BYOBar…whatever you bring, we will serve. Not matter what option you choose, we’ll provide bartending service and bar setup of glassware, ice, straws, napkins and garnishes. The venue features a stunning 18ft built-in bar in the largest room, with additional bar stations provided for multi-bar events with large attendance.
Included in your rental, is an on site venue manager from our staff to oversee the venue, guide your vendors, and control lighting and air during your event. For ceremonies or receptions, a professional day-of coordinator or event planner is required. We also provide professional day-of coordination with our wedding service packages.
Décor such as pipe and drape, floral, and candles enclosed in tall holders are welcome. Sparklers, glitter, birdseed, confetti and other small material are not permitted. No items may be attached to walls, floors or ceilings.
Your rental includes the setup and use of all elements as described above. This includes guest tables, cake, gift and VIP table, chiavari or banquet chairs, linens for all tables, centerpieces and uplighting. Additionally, our catered service includes professional waitstaff and a beautiful selection of glassware, charger, linen napkins, china dinnerware & flatware.
We handle the setup and breakdown of any elements we are providing for your event, and with our catered service, cleanup is also included. Any décor brought in from the outside, setup and breakdown is the responsibility of the client or décor company as well as overseeing load in/out. Cleanup is the responsibility of your caterer service if outside catering is selected.
Bands, DJs and other types of musical entertainment are allowed with whole venue rental. For partial venue rental, entertainment will be reviewed based on other events potentially occurring at same time.
Yes! You and your guests will enjoy on-site private parking and several nearby hotels, some within walking distance. We are proud to offer hotel partner relationships that provide you and your guests with the best rate and other perks. Additionally, we provide our clients with helpful resources in our area, including lodging, shopping, and event vendor services such as photography, cakes and floral.
The venue is available for tours and site visits Monday through Friday 10am – 6pm. Due to the nature of the event business, we recommend making an appointment to ensure venue availability. Please contact us for more information or to schedule your visit.
General Rental Information
Rental fee is based on day of week selected, number of guests and ballroom(s) selected. Rental does not include food and beverage. F&B minimums apply to our catered service. There are peak periods during the year (wedding season, holidays) where rental fees may differ and minimums may apply. All catered event sales are subject to 21% setup/service fee; all non-catered event sales subject to 10% setup fee. 7% sales tax applies. Requests for events to run past 11:00pm are subject to the discretion of the venue and will incur a late night fee.
Booking Your Event
Sterlings on the Water books on a first-come first-served basis. We will set up a tour appointment for you to view our ballrooms, discuss your event details and provide you with an estimate. To secure your event date, a signed rental agreement and a non-refundable deposit is required, balance will be divided into payments. Please note, we do not accept verbal commitments for bookings. After you book your event, we will schedule your complimentary planning meeting to discuss your event in more detail and create a timeline and floor plan for you. Final balance is due three weeks prior to your event date at our final meeting to confirm all details and guest count.
